For something simpler, there's Nasi Uduk (RM6.80). It may look like nasi lemak as it has rice cooked with coconut milk, sambal, crunchy ikan bilis and fried peanuts. However it includes more items, like omelette strips. fried beehoon, crunchy tempe and stir fried French beans. At the counter, there's an array of cooked dishes too.
Set a wok or large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the pan. Once hot, add the tempeh cubes and stir fry for approximately 5-6 minutes, until golden on all sides. Remove the tempeh from the pan and place in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of the sauce to the tempeh. Stir to coat.

Sambal is done when the liquid had evaporated & the texture becomes scrambled. Add the pounded tempeh, continue to stir-fry until tempe well-cooked & blended well with the sambal (about 5 minutes). Adjust the seasoning, add salt & sugar to taste. Add the basil leaves, stir briefly until just wilted. Remove from heat.
Slice the tempeh & tofu in 1cm thinly rectangular shapes or as desired. Put aside. Soak the tempeh & tofu in the mixture one by one with your hand. Make sure both side are marinated well. Put aside for 15 minutes. Heat enough oil in a frying-pan on a medium heat. Deep-fry the sliced tempe then tofu over medium-high heat in a hot oil.
Crush the roasted kemiri. Rub onions, garlic, terasi, salt and sugar together with the kemiri. Roast this mixture in the oil. Add the lombok and the taoco when the onions are yellow. Finish with asem water, made from asem that is diluted with 3 tablespoons of hot water.
